Education is not just a privilege, it’s a right.

Our Mission is to develop the power, mindset and skillset within youth to rise above challenges, chart a path to prosperity, and grow into leaders of a better world.

At Youth Empowered to Prosper, we believe every child deserves a quality education, regardless of their economic background. Our mission is to provide outstanding educational programs to students from lower-income households at no cost, supporting their journey towards academic success and a brighter future.

While grants provide essential resources, they come with restrictions that don't always align with the evolving needs of our students. Educational demands are dynamic, and we must be able to address new challenges as they arise.

Your donations can provide the immediate, flexible support needed to adapt to our students' changing needs. We have experienced an expansion in our geographic reach and numbers in youth participation. This demand for our services means that we need donors like you so we can help even more!

Your contribution will help transform one young person's life at a time, by supporting a mentoring match.

  • our students only attend Title One schools, meaning 70% of more of their student population participates in free or reduced lunch program and are living at or below the poverty line
  • for the 2023-24 school year, we are supporting 66 students through one-to-one mentors in 5 schools
  • 2022-23 school year, 88% of our student mentees increased problem-solving skills and coping mechanisms
  • 2022-23 school year, 92% of students in our after-school program increased their life skills (financial literacy, leadership, career/college readiness skills)

Meet Danielle, let me share with you how your support will make a difference. Danielle is a high school student who has participated in our after-school program, Teen Leadership. For the last four years, because of Covid and other challenges, Danielle had a virtual school experience.

Attending school in person in August of 2023 was an anxiety-filled experience. She did not have a single friend and she was afraid with how she would fit in. When she heard the announcement about Teen Leadership over the intercom, she decided to attend the interest session, albeit reluctantly. Danielle not only made a friend but she her eyes were opened to the world of personal finances.

"What I love most is how my confidence has increased by being put in new and uncomfortable situations. I have learned to speak in front of groups and I have gained a new appreciation for my parents having to manage money. I have learned about budgeting and establishing credit and values that are attached with how money is spent. I can't wait to learn about how to prepare for college and maybe even attend a college tour."

Donate today to help even more young people like Danielle thrive!
